Evolution
The college was established on the 31st day of March, 2008, with a view to open a gateway of higher education for boys and girls of Patiram, but the story did not end there and gradually it turned out to be distinguished land mark of higher education in the district Dakshin Dinajpur. Jamini Mazumder Memorial College, a dream of many educated person of the Patiram, became reality through untiring efforts of a few educationist and person interested in education and social development. Public donations and charities on the one hand and voluntary services rendered by teachers and non teaching staff of the college on the other were the driving force for the college to go ahead and grow.
Jamini Mazumdar Memorial college is an important academic institution situated at Patiram, Dakshin Dinajpur in the left side of the Kumarganj Road towards Ichhamati Bridge. The college is only 1 Kilometre away from Patiram Chaurangi more.
The Campus of Jamini Mazumder Memorial College embraces a total of 17 acres and 2,043 square meter constructed area of land, is situated besides a massive water body and amidst tranquil greenness. The building consists of two floors, housing large spacious classrooms, staff room, library, office etc. There was also a big football playground and a beautiful garden. This college had a student strength of about 2900 (approx.) in the last session.
